European elevators

I have avoided elevators like the plague in Europe because I am a typical American who is prone to claustraphobia. I like my 10-12 capacity elevators Thank You very much.

European elevators are "large" if more than 2 people can fit in it without resorting to
contortion-ism.

I would have happily climbed stairs all through Europe but our place in San Sebastian is up 5 floors, and after a week
of eating in Spain I simply do not have the energy to bound up 5
floors every single time I need something.

So, we're using the elevator.

But I am not happy about it.
