I was told this means - "With security, there is no freedom."

Goes to show a little bit about the Berliners' mindset, doesn't it. After
Hitler "protected" them from the Jews, and the Berlin wall "protected"
them from Capitalism, I'm not surprised Berliners are skeptical about
"security."

On a related note, I heard something really funny today. Apparently
people were tagging the Berlin Wall Memorial, and the government
didn't know how to stop them, so they considered posting guards at the
Berlin wall to stop taggers . . .

Thanfully that fell through. Guards at the Berlin wall - can you imagine!?
